Our bare root material is our largest sale of the year. Hundreds and hundreds of trees, all at their lowest price of the year. The trees are dormant and require no soil, no pot — they just need to be kept moist, out of the heat and the wind. They are ready to plant the day you pick them up.

Why plant bare root?

Sustainability

Bare-root trees come in dormant, and need no special care, no pot, no soil. They are ready to plant. That’s a convenience and a savings compared to potted material.

Ease of Planting

Dig a hole, put the tree in the hole, spread the roots in all directions (except up) add some compost with your native soil, then water generously. Be sure to mulch thoroughly at ground level so the sun and wind do not dry out the newly disturbed soil.
