New for the 2023 season: Events & Classes
Winter/Spring (February-April)
- DIY Ceramic Garden Stakes & Trinket Class (glaze, score, and decorate for pick up in late spring) (March 25 & 26th)
- The Power of Trees; Trees of Power with Peter Henry (April 1, 8, and 15th 10am-11am)
NEW! Class: DIY Garden Stakes - March 25 & DIY Trinket Dish - 26 2023
Garden Stake Class: Join us at Dragonfly Gardens in Amery Wisconsin while we think about spring and our gardens! Create your own (4) garden stakes in any shape you’d like (1lb of clay per guest) and decorate your pieces with any phrase the same day.
What you can expect: Heart Matters Studio will provide instruction and materials to construct & color your piece with up to (3) underglazes. After the workshop your pieces will be fired, and coated with clear glaze in our studio.
Pick-up: Pick-up dates and times are determined in advance and will be discussed at the event. We typically see pieces finished within 14 days of the event. Pieces unclaimed 30 days after our pick-up date will be considered abandoned and will be surrendered to Dragonfly Gardens.
Cost: $20 +tax per student up to (16) students. Cost includes lessons, supplies and take home artwork.
Additional stakes can be made for $4 a stake. Please express interest in advance to secure additional supplies.
Trinket Class: Join us at Dragonfly Gardens & create your own trinket dish (1) *can add on 2 more @ $20/tray with 1.5lbs of raw clay. Decorate your pieces the same day!
Swap out this piece for your plastic plant trays, charcuterie accents, garlic grinder, spoon rest or catch all.

Cancellation for classes with Heart Matters:
Our cancellation policy reflects other small businesses that offer similar services. Think of your registration as a concert ticket, the show must go on! Classes and workshops are non-refundable & non-transferable. By proceeding to check out, you acknowledge that your ticket cannot be refunded or transferred to a future class. We understand life happens and hope that you’re able to attend the scheduled sessions that you’ve registered for. You’re welcome to offer up or sell your ticket to someone of your choosing— please email info@heartmattersstudio.com so they are on the class roster. New! The Power of Trees; Trees of Power with Peter Henry
This series of classes is designed for beginners and novices alike centered around the planning, selection, planting, and care of trees. The following series will be broken down into themes with each Saturday devoted to a specific topic.
April 1st from 10am-11am: The value and importance trees provide for habitat, ecosystems, and human society.
April 8th from 10am-11am: Site planning and selection of tree varieties for temperate mid-western climates and soil conditions.
April 15th from 10am-11am: Installation and care of trees.
Registration: $10 each class/$25 for all three. Pre-register now because class size is limited to 20 participants.

RENTING EVENT SPACE at the Bloom Room
- Dragonfly Gardens has a new space to rent for small groups (graduations/business gatherings/birthdays/celebratory events).
- The capacity is 82, there are indoor bathrooms, a small holding kitchen for plugging in crock pots/hotplates with granite countertops, and of course many flowers and beautiful plants on the outdoor patio spaces.
- Indoor atrium with beautiful tropical and fun plants year round!
- Rental & Cleaning Fees (and other specifics) provided via serious inquiries only--limited to specific dates and times on our business calendar. Please email or call if interested in learning more or securing a slot on our 2023 calendar.
